Florida State baseball is back! (Somewhat and for one day). The ‘Noles are set to hold their annual Garnet & Gold series today, with one game at 3:00 PM. There will be no umps, but other than that it will be a normal nine-inning game.
The strength of FSU’s team in 2021 will be the pitching staff, as it was last year. You’ll see many of those arms today, as pitchers are set to throw one inning.
Florida State returns their whole starting lineup this year and brought in a hand full of JUCO transfers and freshmen to compete for spots. Reese Albert, who had been rehabbing a pulled groin, and Elijah Cabell, who has not scrimmaged the last few weeks, will likely not play.
Fans are not allowed into today’s game, but the scrimmage will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. Chip Baker and Eric Luallen, the voice of FSU baseball, will be on the call.
