Mike Martin Jr. recaps Florida State fall ball

Conor Grady also speaks on his development this fall.

Fall ball came to a conclusion for Florida State baseball tonight. After a long grind for a couple months, the ‘Noles will enter some down time before getting back to work in the spring semester. Mike Martin Jr. spoke to the media for the third time this fall after tonight’s Garnet and Gold game. On the game, Meat said, “Competitive game, I liked the enthusiasm. Real competition hasn’t been in these guys bodies. It was enjoyable.”

With the extended time off now, it’s key for FSU’s players to keep their bodies right. On the message to the team entering the break, Junior said, “Right now we’re books and bodies. We’ve got to make sure we are right in the classroom and I want guys to transform their bodies.”

Junior right-handed pitcher Conor Grady also spoke to the media tonight. Grady tossed a scoreless inning with three strikeouts in the Garnet and Gold scrimmage. On the competition of the pitching staff, Grady said, “As you guys can see, everyone out here is doing their thing. Nobody’s spot is secured.”
