Florida State baseball begins ACC competition tomorrow as Mike Bell and Pittsburgh come to town. FSU is coming off an opening series win, taking two of three games from North Florida. The Seminoles were without Elijah Cabell last weekend and that could be the case against Pitt as well. Junior said the outfielder will likely be a game-time decision. He is still day-to-day with a hamstring injury.
Meat talked about the positives and negatives of having a former assistant coach, Bell, managing against him. He spoke on the challenges of an early beginning to ACC play and the development of the pitching staff, specifically the bullpen and their struggles this past weekend.
We also heard from Conor Grady and Dylan Simmons. Grady talked about his role as the Sunday starter and why he feels he excels in it. Simmons spoke on the importance of having a fall ball and what he expects from ACC pitching.
