For the second straight week, Florida State baseball will not play a mid-week game. Tuesday’s one-game matchup with South Florida has been postponed due to COVID-related issues. Florida State’s release doesn’t clarify which side the issues were on. As of now, FSU (4-5, 2-4 ACC) is scheduled to travel to Blacksburg on Friday for a weekend series with Virginia Tech.

Last week, FSU saw their game against Mercer on Tuesday postponed due to inclement weather. Now entering the fourth week of the season, the Noles have yet to play a mid-week game. Neither game is yet to be rescheduled.
Over the weekend, FSU took down ACC-foe Virginia, winning the series 2-1 at home in Dick Howser. The Seminoles weekend rotation was dominant, giving up just two earned runs in 21 innings of work. Carson Montgomery was scheduled to start for the Seminoles tonight after not seeing the mound this past weekend.
