Florida State baseball (25-17, 17-13 ACC) is coming off their biggest series win of the year. The Seminoles took two of three games from top-10 Notre Dame. The series loss was Notre Dame’s first of the season. The ‘Noles have now won four straight series.
Elijah Cabell and Nico Baldor led FSU’s offense. Cabell extended his hit streak to eight games and Nico Baldor produced three doubles and four RBI in the rubber match victory. On the mound, all three FSU starters went at least five innings while giving up no more than two runs.
Last week, the Seminoles were a consensus top 25 team and should see more positive movement within the rankings today. FSU moved up 20+ spots in RPI to #37 and now have 15 quadrant one wins.
D1Baseball moved the Seminoles up to #17 from #18. Baseball America also moved FSU up a spot to #13. Perfect Game is the highest on the Seminoles. PG moved Florida State up three spots to #10.

UPDATE:
FSU didn’t see any movement in the NCBWA poll. The ‘Noles still sit at #17. Florida State jumped up two spots in the coaches poll to #19.
