No. 16 Florida State baseball (29-21, 20-16 ACC) will be the five-seed in the ACC Tournament. The Seminoles will be paired with four-seed Miami (32-17, 20-15 ACC) and nine-seed Duke (28-20, 16-17 ACC) in pool D. FSU will open up tournament play against the Blue Devils at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. On Friday, the Seminoles will take on Miami at 3:00 PM.
The top-seed, Miami, will own the tiebreaker if all three teams go 1-1, so the ‘Noles will need to win both games. Early in the season, the Seminoles went into Coral Gables and swept the Hurricanes in dominant fashion. Duke is the only ACC team Florida State has not played this season.
If FSU were to win both games, they would play the winner of Pool A in the semifinals at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Notre Dame, the regular season ACC champs, is the top seed in Pool A. The Championship game is at noon on Sunday.
