‘Noles trending up in the rankings.

Florida State baseball (23-16, 15-12 ACC) is trending up in the rankings after a 3-1 week. The Seminoles started the week with a powerful win over Stetson, smashing four homers out of Dick Howser.

Over the weekend, the ‘Noles welcomed Troy to town for a late season non-conference series. FSU took care of business in game with a 3-2 win behind Elijah Cabell’s two-run homer and 6+ strong innings from Parker Messick. The bats went silent on Saturday, as the ‘Noles were shutout for a 3-0 loss. Florida State bounced back in the rubber match with a 4-2 win. Davis Hare led the way with a homer and a double.

The 3-1 week was enough for the Seminoles to move up in the polls this week. Perfect Game has the ‘Noles rated the highest. FSU moved up two spots to #13 in PG’s rankings. Baseball America moved the ‘Noles up one spot to #14. D1Baseball moved FSU from #20 to #18. The Seminoles saw a large leap of eight spots to #17 in NCBWA’s poll. The coaches poll has FSU at #21.
