No. 18 Florida State baseball (24-16, 16-12 ACC) has a chance to hand No. 7 Notre Dame (24-9, 21-9) their first series loss of the year with a win today. The Seminoles took game one in a pitchers’ duel. FSU got another strong outing from Parker Messick as he tossed six innings of one-run ball. Jack Anderson closed it out with three strong innings. Elijah Cabell’s three-run homer and Davis Hare’s two-out, two-RBI single was all the offense needed for a 5-2 win.

With inclement weather expected on Sunday, the Seminoles and Irish will be playing a double-header today. Here are the probables:

Saturday 5/08, 1:00 PM

Probable Starters: LHP Bryce Hubbart (3.44 ERA, 49.2 IP) vs. LHP John Bertrand (3.38 ERA, 58.2 IP)
