On Thursday evening, Florida State added a game back to their non-conference basketball slate, rescheduling their prior matchup with Gardner-Webb. That game will now be played Monday, Dec. 21 at 8pm at home in the Civic Center.
FSU was slated to open the season with Gardner-Webb on Nov. 27, but the game was postponed due to “COVID-19-related issues within the Gardner-Webb program”. The Runnin’ Bulldogs also postponed games against Duke and Georgia.
Mark your calendars!

Before Florida State makes up the postponed game, they have four more home games on the schedule first. FSU takes on Indiana in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge Dec. 9, host rival Florida on Dec. 12, and begin their conference schedule with Georgia Tech Dec. 15. They finish off a six-game homestand to start the season with meetings with UCF Dec. 19 and the rescheduled Gardner-Webb game.
Last year, Gardner-Webb went 16-16 and finished 3rd in the Big South conference. They tip off their season next week against Presbyterian.
