After another stellar week, Florida State jumped a few spots in the Associated Press Top 25. Ranked No. 16 last week, FSU jumped 5 spots and is now the No. 11 team in the nation.

Last Monday, Florida State had a statement win against then-No. 7 Virginia leading by 20 at the half and cruising to an 81-60 victory. FSU then traveled to Pittsburgh and took down the Panthers 79-72.

At 13-3 overall and 9-2 in conference play, Florida State now finds themselves atop the ACC standings.

Ranked No. 21 to start the year, Florida State remained in the polls the first six weeks of the season, reaching as high as No. 15 at one point. The Noles fell to No. 25 after suffering their second loss of the season at Clemson, and were bounced from the rankings the next week.

After four straight wins (and three by double-digits), they surged from unranked to No. 16 on Jan. 25. With just one loss in the past month, FSU has remained ranked ever since.

This week, Leonard Hamilton’s Seminoles take on rival Miami (7-13, 3-12 ACC) on the road Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. FSU then has a nationally-televised game on ESPN Saturday afternoon also on the road versus North Carolina (14-7, 8-5 ACC). That game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
