De’Ante Green is a 6’9 215 pound power forward from Asheville, NC.
The Class of 2022 prospect attends Asheville Christian Academy and has a 95 rating (4-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites considers him the 110th best prospect in his class (21st best PF and best player in North Carolina).
Green transferred to Asheville Christian mid-season from local rival Christ School, and Saturday night the star forward led his new team to an improbable NCISAA 3A state title (the Lions started the season 0-8) with a 74-68 road win over Gaston Christian.
At ACA, Green plays with Collin Mills, younger brother of Caleb Mills, who recently transferred to Florida State.
Last Sunday, Green released his final six schools, and he included Leonard Hamilton’s Florida State Seminoles basketball program, along with the NC State Wolfpack, North Carolina Tar Heels, Tennessee Volunteers, Virginia Tech Hokies, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

There’s definitely a regional feel for his final six, as five of the six schools are between 2-4 hours from Asheville (Tallahassee is a 7.5 hour drive). It was interesting to see the Baylor Bears, Kansas Jayhawks, and Louisville Cardinals eliminated from Green’s list.
If Coach Ham and Co. are able to pull Green, it’d be the second time in the last four classes the Seminoles were able to pull a highly sought after prospect from NC, after landing Patrick Williams from Charlotte, but it’s never easy to top the Tar Heels in their home state.
