Florida State basketball will face off with North Carolina in tomorrow’s ACC Tournament semifinals. The Tar Heels defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies by a score of 81-73 tonight. UNC was led by RJ Davis’ 19 points off the bench and Armando Bacot’s double-double of 17 points and 13 boards. FSU advanced to the semis after their quarterfinal matchup with Duke was postponed due to a positive covid test within the Blue Devils’ program.
The ‘Noles and Tar Heels faced off twice in the regular season. The Seminoles took game one in Tallahassee. RaiQuan Gray and MJ Walker combined for 40 points as FSU won by a score of 82-75.
UNC got their revenge with a 78-70 win in Chapel Hill last month. The Seminoles once held a 16-point lead, but were outscored by twenty points in the second half, their worst half of the season.
FSU and UNC will play at 9:00 PM tomorrow night in the Greensboro Coliseum, which will likely be packed with Tar Heels.
