Cam’ron Fletcher commits to Florida State

Ham restocks the cupboard with four star transfer.

Leonard Hamilton’s Florida State Seminoles basketball program nabbed Kentucky Wildcats freshman transfer Cam’ron Fletcher to help replace roster spots left by early NBA Draft entrants Raiquan Gray and Balsa Koprovica.

Fletcher entered Kentucky as a top 100 prospect with good physical skills, but work to do to morph himself into a complete basketball player. He played in nine games as a freshman, but just twice after being asked to step away from the team by head coach John Calipari after a loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Fletcher was frustrated with his playing time and took a little more than a week off to compose himself. Upon returning to the team he issued an apology to his teammates and Kentucky fans.

Fletcher picked Florida State over several programs including the Georgetown Hoyas, LSU Tigers, Marquette Golden Eagles, Tennessee Volunteers, UCLA Bruins, and USC Trojans, among others, due to head coach Hamilton and assistant coach Charlton Young’s insistence that Fletcher will have to work hard for his playing time at FSU.

Fletcher will have to work on his outside game and feel but boasts the length and athleticism that Seminole fans will recognize.
