The ‘Noles lose a big legacy recruit.

UPDATE:

Brandon Jennings has committed to Michigan.

The Florida State Seminoles 2021 football class took a huge hit Monday morning when 4-star linebacker Branden Jennings announced his decommitment via Twitter. Jennings committed in the spring, and was a huge piece of the Seminoles’ recruiting class.

Jennings said the following:

“After a lot of thought and consideration I will be reopening my recruitment process. When I committed back in February I was still planning on taking a few unofficial visits over the summer. The pandemic hit and it prevented me from taking those opportunities. I have to get this right. I want to make sure that I make the right decision on where I continue my football and educational career. The new FSU staff has been great from the beginning! I just don’t want to look back later in life and say that I made a hasty decision. I would never want to do this behind the scenes and hurt FSU’s recruiting. They have been great. I just want to make the right decision for my future.”

Jennings’ decommit hurts for a multitude of reasons. He was the top player in the class, had a chance at making an instant impact at a position of need, and was a legacy recruit.

At this point, the other schools in contention are unknown. We’ll have more updates on Jennings’ recruitment as it becomes available. Keep checking Tomahawk Nation’s recruiting thread for all the latest #Tribe21 news.
