Florida State football, recruiting news: Seminoles active on trail during bye week

A few new prospects grabbed FSU offers this week

Bryan Young, a 2021 Georgia prospect who has been garnering a lot of big-school attention as of late, grabbed a Florida State offer on Wednesday.

2023 prospect Suntarine Perkins, a 6’3 200 pound athlete from Raleigh, MS, also now has an FSU offer.

CoachAB was all over the place yesterday, also dropping a Whiteboard Wednesday column about how fans who are freaking out over immediate results need to reset their expectations to season-long progress.

We spoke with head coach Mike Norvell, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and defensive tackle Marvin Wilson yesterday.

“Everything that is wrong gets amplified when you aren’t playing well,” Fuller said of the defense’s struggles so far. “The lessons are there.”

“You hate learning lessons by failure but that is what’s happening right now.”

We’re super inconsistent. Whether it’s pass rush or pass coverage. You have got to rely on some sort of foundation. Right now we are trying to stick with a plan. Executing and making one-on-one plays. It’s not that simple, but it is sometimes.”
