Florida State football recruiting recap: Blue chip QBs showing off

Future Seminoles and targets in action.

We’re back with another week of updates from the Florida State Seminoles’ commits and targets for the upcoming classes.

Another week, another win for commit Luke Altmyer. The 4-star quarterback led Starkville to their fifth win of the season with a school record 426 passing yards. He ended the night with five touchdown passes.

One wide receiver that Altmyer could be tossing touchdowns to in the future at Tallahassee is target Destyn Hill. The wide receiver target hauled in a touchdown catch late in his team’s win.

And catching passes with Hill? 4-star commit Joshua Burrell. On a night he was crowned homecoming king, Burrell also caught a touchdown pass from his brother.

Running back target Jaylin White only had 40 yards rushing on the night but still had two scores including an 80 yard catch and run.

Defensive back target Terrion Arnold was all over the field this weekend including this punt return he took to the house. Check out the high five at the end.

Linebacker commit Jordan Eubanks was a force on defense in his team’s game. He caused and recovered a fumble in his team’s loss:

Florida State is also laying groundwork for the 2022 class and several targets balled out this past weekend including linebacker/defensive end target Marvin Jones Jr. The FSU legacy picked up a fumble and ran it in for a score in American Heritage’s win.

Another FSU legacy is Aaron Hester. The 2022 defensive end picked up two sacks and eight tackles for loss in his team’s game. Watch one of Hester’s tackles for loss below:

Azareyeh Thomas, teammates with 2021 commit Kimo Makaneole, scored twice in Niceville’s in this past week. Thomas showed off his elusive running on both scores:

2022 quarterback target Nicco Marchiol had a touchdown through the air and on the ground in this past week’s win. Marchiol showed off his wheels in the clip below:

And not to get way ahead of ourselves, but 2023 legacy Lamont Green Jr was a dominant force in Gulliver Prep’s win. He recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss on the night.

That’s all for this week, if you know of any other stats or updates, let us know in the comments. Keep checking back here and in the Tomahawk Nation recruiting thread for more updates on #Tribe21 and the future.
