Late Monday afternoon, he was offered by Florida State:

Tomahawk Nation’s Coach AB gave his thoughts on Birchmeier after watching his freshman highlights:

Birchmeier’s an explosive athlete. The first thing that jumps out is his quickness off the ball and how fluid he is when pulling. Birchmeier reminds me of a Wing T pulling guard, except he’s 6-5 265 as a freshman. And he plays with good technique. To be a fluid offensive lineman, you must play well within your frame, and he displays that here. Birchmeier’s never outside the framework of his body, as he keeps his elbows tight, shoots his hands quickly, and his base is always good.

As always, make sure to get more info by checking out Tomahawk Nation’s recruiting thread.
