Hometown hero?

Makari Vickers is a 6’1 180 pound cornerback prospect from Tallahassee, FL.

The Class of 2023 prospect attends John Paul II Catholic High School where he teams up with fellow Florida State Seminoles defensive back target Terrion Arnold.

Although Vickers isn’t currently rated, he already holds offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, LSU Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Tennessee Volunteers, among others. Based on these early offers, I don’t think it is far fetched to predict that Vickers will eventually become a blue-chip prospect, and it is smart to offer him early, especially as the hometown school.

Early Thursday afternoon, he was offered by defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson, and the Florida State football program:

Earlier this week, the NCAA announced it was extending the Dead Period (AGAIN). It’ll be nice when that’s over, and the FSU staff is able to continue building relationships—especially with local studs.
