Florida State has made the offensive tackle position a priority for the 2021 class with a 4-star already committed (Rod Orr) and another commit that could swing to tackle if necessary (Kimo Makeneole). Friday, the Seminoles found themselves in the top-5 of another talented offensive tackle, Ru’Quan Buckley:

Buckley measures in at 6’6, 260 pounds. The 247 Sports Composite rankings list Buckley as a composite 3-star (87 ranking). He is currently ranked as the 14th best player in the state of Michigan and the 578th best player nationally.
He was offered by Florida State in June of this year:
during this quarantine all my hard work and taking advantage of some people who is not working out during quarantine but also I want to say that I’m very excited to say I have received another Offer in this quarantine thank you sooo much @Coach_Norvell and @CoachAAtkins #GoNoles pic.twitter.com/gDwMiK9TkA

As mentioned above, if Florida State were to land Buckley, he’d be the second true tackle in the class, and the fourth overall offensive lineman for the 2021 class. FSU’s biggest competition for Buckley will probably be Nebraska, as that’s the school most believe is the favorite.
