2021 Florida State Football quarterback commitment Luke Altmyer of Starkville, Mississippi has decommitted from FSU. Altmyer is expected to commit to Ole Miss and join Lane Kiffin’s team in Oxford. Murmurs of Altmyer’s potential flip grew quickly over recent week as he visited Ole Miss for two consecutive football game weeks.
Altmyer is a very promising quarterback prospect, with many Tomahawk Nation analysts speculating he was a better recruit than either Tate Rodemaker or Chubba Purdy.
Our CoachAB broke down Luke Altmyer’s game in a recent scouting report.
Altmyer originally committed to FSU in February, and was considered a solid commitment until relatively recently.
Luke Altmyer is an early enrollee for the 2021 class, so his decision coming near the beginning of December is not a surprise. However, the four-star 6’2, 190 lb pro style quarterback from Starkville was considered the highlight of an otherwise moribund 2021 recruiting class for the Seminoles.
