Brandon Moore commits to Florida State

UCF Knights defensive back Brandon Moore is the latest transfer to commit to Florida State:

Moore, a redshirt senior is from Seminole High School in Sanford, FL, and stands at 6’0 186 pounds.

From his UCF bio:

R-JUNIOR (2019)

• Started the first game of the season, before a knee injury kept him out the rest of the year

• FAMU (8/29): Maded two tackles and broke up one pass

R-SOPHOMORE (2018)

• Played in and started all 13 games at cornerback

• Made 43 total tackles with one tackle for loss, 10 passes broken up and one interception

• Named honorable mention All-AAC

• at UConn (8/30): Made five total tackles and broke up one pass

• FAU (9/21): Made seven tackles, including one for a loss and broke up two passes

• Pitt (9/29): Registered six tackles and broke up a pass

• at Memphis (10/13): All three recorded tackles were solo and broke up two passes

• Cincinnati (11/17): Made two tackles and broke up two passes

• vs. LSU (1/1): Made an interception for a 93-yard touchdown and registered two total tackles in the Fiesta Bowl

R-FRESHMAN (2017)

• Started seven games and played in all 13 as a defensive back

• Totaled 31 tackles, including 23 solo and 2.5 for loss, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble

• Second on team with eight breakups and added one interception

• FIU (8/31): Registered two tackles in debut

• at Maryland (9/23): Notched four stops, including one for loss

• Memphis (9/30): Added two tackles and three breakups

• at Cincinnati (10/7): Totaled six tackles, including three unassisted and one breakup

• ECU (10/14): Tallied five tackles and two breakups

• at Navy (10/21): Forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass and added a breakup and two stops

• UConn (11/11): Recorded one tackle and one breakup

• South Florida (11/24): Tallied three tackles

FRESHMAN (2016)

• Sat out the season as a redshirt

HIGH SCHOOL

• Coached by Kerry Wiggins at Seminole High School

• Received three stars from ESPN

• One of the first UCF commits after Scott Frost was announced as head coach

• Listed at No. 23 in the Orlando Sentinel’s 2016 Central Florida Super60

• Posted an interception in the 2015 Central Florida All Star Game

• Selected to play in the 2015 Nike Opening Regional Camp in Kissimmee

• Primarily played cornerback as well as receiver

• Collected a pair of interceptions and two blocked kicks as a junior

• Also competed in basketball in school
