Recruiting
Mike Norvell’s Florida State Seminoles football program offered Walled Lake, Michigan linebacker prospect Aidan Vaughan late Monday night:
#AGTG
— Aidan Vaughan (@AidanVaughan5) October 26, 2021
Beyond blessed to receive an offer from @FSUFootball Huge thanks to @therealkwat @Coach_Marve @fbcoachfuller @RLS2294 for this opportunity pic.twitter.com/WoXmO1kb6D
Vaughan’s currently committed to Air Force and isn’t ranked on the 247 Sports Composite List, but 247 has him as a 3-star after recently picking up offers from the Louisville Cardinals, Maryland Terrapins, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Syracuse Orange, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Wisconsin Badgers. It’ll be interesting to see if Adam Fuller and the Florida State staff can convince him to visit Tallahassee.
Other LB names to know (as of now) are current LSU Tigers commit DeMario Tolan (Orlando), and Daniel Martin (Marietta, GA).
FSU QB commit Chris Parson got some love Sunday in Nashville when the Tennessee Titans beat the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs:

A potential transfer name to know (early mutual interest):
Wisconsin center Kayden Lyles (@Klyles60) has officially entered the transfer portal. Lyles, a four-star recruit in the 2017 class, has made 16 career starts.https://t.co/3Kyfh8Y5Mn

Football
FSU won its third straight game with a convincing 59-3 victory over Walt Bell’s Massachusetts Minutemen. The Seminoles now shift their focus to Dabo Swinney’s struggling Clemson Tigers, who are still double-digit favorites in Death Valley this weekend.
Crazy times, huh?!?
Florida (14 points), FSU (10) and Miami (10) all double-digit underdogs this week....

The Triple Option crew takes a look back at last weekend’s game and gives a preview of this week’s game, as well:
Tommy Mire was at Tuesday’s practice, and he shared some observations:
Norvell spoke to the media afterward, and he had some extremely lofty praise for starting quarterback Jordan Travis.
Speaking of starters:
How to watch this weekend’s game:
Is Florida State currently a top 50 team? Brian Fremeau’s FEI ratings say so, but they also have the Florida Gators in the top 10, so...

How do y’all feel about the new OT rules (which came to light with the Illinois Fighting Illini’s upset over the Penn State Nittany Lions, which was best described as a children’s bowling contest with all the “gutter balls”)?
Do you like the new college football overtime rules where you go to 2 point conversions in the 3rd Overtime???

The Atlantic Coast Conference is nothing, if not interesting:
It may not be the BEST league, but it is the most INTERESTING league...

Speaking of FSU pitchers:
Sharp scrimmage for #FSU baseball today. One of the best days attacking the zone by pitchers. 64% strikes over 6 pitchers. All at least 55% strikes. All of those arms also sitting 90+ MPH with the FB.
— Brett Nevitt (@brettpn) October 26, 2021
Good day for Carson Montgomery today. Was mixing his 5 pitches well (4S FB, 2S FB, CT, CH, SL). Fastball in the 91-94 MPH range. Continue to tick up deeper he got into his work today. Just needs to keep stacking good days while being consistent with his mechanics. pic.twitter.com/Ae1vx1zq6E
— Brett Nevitt (@brettpn) October 26, 2021
Jackson Nezuh continues to stack good days on the mound this fall. 74% strikes on 31 pitches today. Creates a lot of swing-and-miss with FB up in the zone. Slider has been tighter over last couple outings. Splitter creates lots of soft contact. pic.twitter.com/x7Kv04sD9r
— Brett Nevitt (@brettpn) October 26, 2021
Strong day for Davis Hare today. Stuff and command were both sharp. 67% strikes over 30 pitches. Fastball sat 93-94 and topped out at 95. Splitter playing well to his armside off sinker. Can throw slider in any count, likes to use it to get ahead. pic.twitter.com/EKGB1up9UM
— Brett Nevitt (@brettpn) October 27, 2021
Joe Charles really struggled with his command this summer, but has gotten better and better with every outing this fall. Has been working with Jimmy Belanger on a new arm slot and it’s paying off. 60% strikes today. 90-92 FB. Has a nasty CB on a string. pic.twitter.com/f5pZf4Dmi4
— Brett Nevitt (@brettpn) October 27, 2021
Dylan Simmons attacked the zone with 22 strikes on 32 pitches today. FB sat 90-93 MPH. Tight slider/cutter at 85-87 gets swing and misses. Flashed a new CB today. Changeup has taken steps forward, true third pitch now. pic.twitter.com/vAgNebC6AU

Tomahawk Nation and FSU fans are fortunate to have the best college baseball beat reporter/writer in Brett Nevitt, and we can’t wait for baseball season!
Women’s Sports
