Noles News: Can Mike Norvell take over the state of Florida?

A lot depends on FSU’s final four games.

NEW recruiting thread is up:

Florida Gators head coach Dan Mullen doesn’t seem to get it when it comes to recruiting...

...which leaves an opportunity for Mike Norvell’s Florida State Seminoles:

Monday, Florida State offered a 4-star offensive tackle from Georgia who already holds offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans, Ole Miss Rebels, South Carolina Gamecocks, Tennessee Volunteers, and UCF Knights, among others.

He teamed up with current FSU offensive lineman Bryson Estes at Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (ELCA).

Speaking of Dan Mullen:

Coach Norvell’s full comments after Tuesday’s practice with the Seminoles preparing for the NC State Wolfpack:

Norvell described the practice as “solid”:

Florida State continues to struggle in special teams. John Papuchis discussed some of the issues from the Clemson Tigers’ loss with the media after practice:

The Triple Option crew is here with the latest film breakdown. We don’t ask for much at Tomahawk Nation, but before you race over here with your hot takes about Jordan Travis or Adam Fuller, please check out the game rewatch:

Congrats to Treshaun Ward on the well-deserved nomination:

Georgia Bulldogs DE transfer Jermaine Johnson continues to impress, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he was selected early in the NFL Draft:

FSU will need Johnson and others to step up, as NCSU QB Devin Leary’s a handful:

Always good seeing teams giving back to the community:

Thank you, veterans:

Speaking of Miami (FL)—Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi thinks the Canes are going undefeated the rest of the way, but I think he’s trying to deflect after his team was upset at home Saturday (having said that, their schedule isn’t exactly murderers’ row, though):

Iowa Hawkeyes’ coach Kirk Ferentz is now the longest tenured FBS HC after TCU Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson announced he was stepping aside:

Thoughts on the the first College Football Playoff rankings and what do y’all think about this potential 8 team bracket?

Orlando-area FSU hoops fans:

Leonard Hamilton and some of FSU’s upperclassmen had the opportunity to meet with Magic Johnson to discuss mental health:

It sure was fun having Toronto Raptors star rookie Scottie Barnes for a season!

NFL Noles

Noles in the Pros:

Kansas City Chiefs DL Derrick Nnadi continues to do great work in the community:

Everyone loves former Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Warrick Dunn:

Congrats to San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey:

Women’s Sports

You know you’ve done something special when a college volleyball play makes SportsCenter’s Top 10:

FSU’s women’s soccer team (theoretically) caught a break when Wake Forest upset the Duke Blue Devils. Can the Lady Noles take advantage Friday night?

Welcome back, Coach Sue!
