Sylvester Smith is a 6’2 193 pound safety from Munford, AL.
The Class of 2023 prospect attends Munford High School.
Although Smith isn’t ranked yet, he already holds offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Maryland Terrapins, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Oklahoma Sooners, Penn State Nittany Lions, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Tennessee Volunteers, among others.
Thursday afternoon, he was offered by defensive backs coach and area recruiter Marcus Woodson and the Florida State Seminoles football program:
After a great talk with @Coach_MWoodson I’m blessed have earned an offer from Florida state university #Tribe23 @ChadSimmons_ @Coach_M_Easley @TomahawkNation @HankSouth247 @DexPreps @EricNation15 @B_Heard24 @Crenshaw_own6 @CoachBO__ @devan_totherow pic.twitter.com/6sHJp5X9s3

During Smith’s sophomore season, he racked up 67 tackles (4 TFL), 5 pass break-ups, and 4 interceptions. He also claims a 3.8 grade point average in the classroom.
We spoke to Smith shortly after the offer, and he said the Florida State offer was a big deal, as he’s a big fan of Mike Norvell. He realizes FSU didn’t have the best season, but he expects them to be a top tier program going forward, and he could eventually see himself becoming a Seminole.
