Brian Courtney is a 6’3 225 pound athlete from Ashburn, VA.
The Class of 2022 prospect attends Independence High School. Although he plays quarterback for his school, the Florida State Seminoles football program is recruiting him as a tight end.
Courtney currently isn’t ranked by 247 Sports, Rivals, or ESPN, but the sites are most likely basing that off his play at QB.
Thursday afternoon, Courtney committed to Florida State, giving the Seminoles their eighth member of Tribe 22, joining 5-star cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter, 4-star defensive end Nyjalik Kelly, 3-star defensive end Aaron Hester, 4-star quarterback Nicco Marchiol, 5-star defensive back Sam McCall, 3-star wide receiver and return specialist Devaughn Mortimer, and 3-star running back and slot receiver Rodney Hill:
Extremely excited to announce that I have committed to @FSUFootball @Coach_Norvell @KennyDillingham @CoachCarter_FSU @ThomsenChris @RyanBartow @Coach_Marve #tribe22

It’s been a busy time on the trail, as earlier this week, FSU lost the commitment of 3-star wide receiver prospect Quincey McAdoo.
As always, head to our newest recruiting thread to talk about the Noles.
