While Florida State has gained two recent commitments following their garnet and gold spring game weekend, they lost one on Thursday evening.

The talented prospect out of Orlando originally committed to FSU in July of 2020. By the start of his sophomore season of high school, Baxter Jr. was receiving more and more buzz as one of the highest-rated players in the entire 2023 class.
“Since I was little I have always been a Nole fan,” Baxter Jr. posted on social media. “I don’t think I made a bad decision, I would just like to re-evaluate my decision and explore my options.”
“FSU will still be one of my top schools but at this time I am decommiting from Florida State University,” he said.
