Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles football program are hoping to get some good news Saturday when Jaron Willis, a 6’2 220 pound outside linebacker from Leesburg, GA, plans to announce his college commitment.

The Class of 2022 prospect attends Lee County High School and has a 93 rating (4-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 150th best player in his class (13th best OLB and 17th best player in Georgia).

Willis recently released a top six list which included Florida State, along with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Florida Gators, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Kentucky Wildcats, and Ole Miss Rebels.

tWillis received an offer from last April and called it a “dream come true.” He’s called FSU his leader previously, and it seems the Seminoles are still in good shape.

He describes his playing style as fast and physical, and he says he loves to trash talk, as it can easily get opponents off their game.

If Willis commits to the Noles, he could eventually be joined by Lee Co. teammate Qae’shon Sapp, a talented offensive lineman.

5/1 PM UPDATE:

Willis committed to Geoff Collins and Georgia Tech, as expected. It’ll be interesting to see if the Noles can give Willis something to think about before National Signing Day.
