Can Noles make noise in Lone Star State?

Derrick Brown is a 6’4 210 pound weak-side defensive end from Texarkana, TX.

The Class of 2022 prospect attends Texas High School and has a 90 rating (4-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 300th best player in his class (16th best WDE and 46th best player in TX).

Brown has offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Arkansas Razorbacks, Baylor Bears, Colorado Buffaloes, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Kentucky Wildcats, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Ole Miss Rebels, Penn State Nittany Lions, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Utah Utes, and Vanderbilt Commodores, among others.

Early Wednesday evening, he was offered by the Florida State Seminoles football program:

Florida State is fairly late in the game, and if Steve Sarkisian and/or Jimbo Fisher push for Brown, expect him to stay closer to home.

As always, make sure to get more info by checking out Tomahawk Nation’s recruiting thread.
