Florida State Seminoles football updated its 2021 roster today as the new summer semester kicks off — but missing from it was one notable name, 2021 wide receiver signee Destyn Hill.

Florida State provided the following statement:

“Destyn Hill’s enrollment is delayed due to a personal matter. With respect to his family’s privacy, we are looking forward to him joining our program in the future.”

Hill was one of the major gets of Mike Norvell’s second recruiting class, with the staff earning a National Signing Day commitment from the Louisiana product.

From our signing day piece:

Mike Norvell’s Florida State Seminoles football program picked up a huge recruiting victory today when Destyn “Fatt” Hill announced via Instagram Live that he’s signing with the Seminoles over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, LSU Tigers, and Oklahoma Sooners:

Hill is a 4-star wide receiver (95 rating) from the state of Louisiana. He’s currently ranked as the 113th best player overall and considered a top-20 player at the receiver position. Hill, listed at 6’1, 200 pounds, had been considered an FSU lean ever since his visit to Tallahassee in January.
