While much of the focus has been on Tribe ‘22 lately, the Florida State Seminoles made some noise with a commitment from fast-rising 2023 prospect Vandrevius Jacobs (Tomahawk Nation confirmed his commitment after 247 Sports initially reported it). He hasn’t thrown out a commit tweet yet, so this high praise will just have to do for now:
YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER WR IN THE CLASS OF 2023 ASK ANY COACH THAT HAS SEEN HIM IN ACTION THIS SUMMER‼️ https://t.co/HdWF5r2tHo

Jacobs is a 6’0, 155 pound wide receiver attending Vero Beach High School. He chose the Seminoles over a dozen other offers including the Arkansas Razorbacks, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Indiana Hoosiers, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and West Virginia Mountaineers. His current ranking by 247 is an 86 (3-star), and he’s seen as the 62nd best WR and 72nd best player in Florida for the 2023 cycle. Keep in mind, though, these rankings are extremely early, and I’m willing to bet Jacobs will rise quickly given his recent camp performances.
At the Florida State 7-on-7 camp, he earned the nickname “All Day Dre” because he caught everything thrown his way and showed good route running. Some of his highlights show why the Seminoles extended an offer:

Jacobs also earned some seriously high praise from a total stud and fellow FSU target, Kamari Wilson:
I’m really starting to feel like I’m the only DB that can lock Lil Brudda up he killed everybody on the tour‼️ @VandreviusJ https://t.co/O7DVaFabFJ

Jacobs joins DE Lamont Green, Jr. and TE Randy Pittman as commitments in Tribe ‘23. Head on over to the recruiting thread for more information as always.
