It was a warm day after the rain had passed and the revolving Moore Athletic Center’s doors seemed constant. Florida State Seminoles football carts and buses shuffled in and out with prospects and parents, while coaches and staff hustled and bustled, greeting everyone with shouts and smiles. All eight official visitors checked in this weekend along with recently announced commit 247Sports Composite 4-star Travion Williams for a photo shoot.

Qae’shon Sapp, Antavious Woody, Jaylen Early, Kanaya Carlton, Emery Jones, Jerrale Powers, Bishop Thomas and Jaron Willis were the officials this weekend. 2023 wide receiver 247Sports 4-star Cayden Lee, 2023 247Sports Composite 4-star wide receiver Santana Fleming and 2022 247Sports Composite 4-star wide receiver Andre Greene Jr. were also on campus.
Florida State picked up commitments from 2022 247Sports Composite 4-star offensive tackle Qae’shon Sapp, 2022 247Sports Composite 3-star Kanaya Charlton and 247Sports Composite 3-star Bishop Thomas.
Qae’shon Sapp told us that he had been silently committed to Florida State for three months and his mother crying during the photo shoot with FSU caused him to publicly announce his commitment. “I just felt at home. Growing up where we grew up with a single mom— for her to be able to watch me accomplish my dreams and to achieve my goals I’ve been trying to achieve since I was young, it’s amazing. I did it for her.”
Sapp also told Tomahawk Nation that he is already recruiting fellow teammate and Georgia Tech commit Jaron Willis who was on his official visit this weekend as well.
247Sports Composite 4-star Jaron Willis mentioned that Florida State is still his dream school and that he would play the stud linebacker role in Florida State defensive coordinator Adam Fuller’s scheme. Jaron Willis maintains that he is verbally committed to Georgia Tech but Sapp has been in his ear the second he announced — “I love what coach Norvell is doing already. It looks like he’s already making a turnaround.”
247Sports Composite 4-star Antavious Woody stopped to talk and said that he has a top three list of schools to consider and Florida State is number one. He also plans on a commitment within the next few days. Woody visited Georgia Tech and Auburn but Florida state was his first official visit.
247Sports Composite 3-star offensive tackle Kanaya Charlton on how long he’s known he’s going to commit to Florida State, “I’ve known for quite awhile.”
He said the FSU spring game was when he knew. While speaking with Charlton, it was obvious the relationship with FSU offensive line coach Alex Atkins played a major role in his commitment.
“With him, it’s like we’ve known each other for years. We can talk to each other about anything and have conversations. We don’t even talk about football anymore, which is crazy coming from a recruit and a coach— to not talk about football. We talk about general life things like how’s your family doing, how your friends are, how are you doing? Things like that.”
“I don’t think nobody else in the country could top this.”
247Sports Composite 3-star Bishop Thomas said he had no idea he was going to commit on the visit, “I just felt it.” Florida State defensive end Byron Turner Jr. and Thomas are close which helped with the visit and when asked what his weekend was like over all Thomas’ response was, “It was fun. I got to spend time with my best friend Byron Turner.”
Its safe to say the FSU staff is happy about their efforts for the month of June:
