Recruiting

Five star offensive line target Julian Armella is set to visit LSU this weekend — and the Tigers just fired their offensive line coach.

From our sister site And The Valley Shook:

Cregg was entering the final year of his contract, which was going to pay him around $700,000. Cregg has been with LSU since 2018 and coached the offensive line to the Joe Moore Award in 2019. Cregg has a long history working with Orgeron, the two were on the same staff at Tennessee in 2009 and USC from 2010-2013. Cregg was also on the Denver Broncos’s Super Bowl 50 winning coaching staff.

The timing of this change is odd to say the least. The rest of LSU’s 2021 signing class have moved into their apartments and summer workouts are underway. Orgeron now has three months to fill out his coaching staff.

As discussed in our Florida State Seminoles football recruiting thread last night, four star quarterback commit Nicco Marchiol has taken down all Florida State-related graphics from his social media and deleted his Tweet committing to the Seminoles. He took his first official visit to Arizona State, a move that reportedly was against the wishes of the FSU coaching staff. He’s been removed as a commit to Florida State on both major recruiting networks.

Plies’ first album was called The Real Testament, so this statement from him absolutely means more:
