The Florida State Seminoles made serious waves on the recruiting trail in June and the ripple effect can now be felt as far as Texas. Mike Norvell and his staff have kicked off July by adding another tight end to their 2022 recruiting class.

Jerrale Powers is a 6’4 238 pound tight end from Duncanville, TX. He carries a rating of 84 (3 star) from the 247 Sports Composite List and is ranked as the 1150th best player in the country (67th best tight end and 159th best player in Texas). He chose Florida State over offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Arkansas Razorbacks, Colorado Buffaloes, Oregon State Beavers, Utah Utes, and others.
Powers also competes in track for his high school, posting a 17-10 foot long jump this year and an 11.88 second 100 meter time last year. He is a teammate of fellow Tribe ‘22 target and June 25 official visitor Jaylen Early. The tight end was offered in March by area recruiter and potential position coach Chris Thomsen:

With Powers pledging his services to the garnet and gold, the Seminoles’ recruiting class still ranks 3rd nationally and 1st in the ACC. As always stay tuned and head on over to the Recruiting Thread for more insight and recruiting discussion.
