Chris Parson commits to Florida State

‘Noles stay red hot on the trail.

Florida State Seminoles football remains on a recruiting roll, as Class of 2023 quarterback prospect Chris Parson chose Florida State over the Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, TCU Horned Frogs, Tennessee Volunteers, and Virginia Tech Hokies, among others.

Parson, who’s originally from Texas but moved to Tennessee for his father’s job, is 6’0”, 190 pounds and attends Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. He has an 89 rating (high 3-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 288th best player in America (19th best QB and 8th best player in TN).

Florida State began to show interest in March and offered the talented signal-caller in early June, and it obviously resonated with him:

We’ve been speaking with Parson for over a year and after the offer he told Tomahawk Nation that FSU has been his dream school since he was a little kid, as he’s related to Seminole legend Terrell Buckley. Getting a notable signal-caller on board for the 2023 class could pay big dividends from a peer-recruiting standpoint and will be something to monitor.

Parson becomes the second Duncanville (TX) player to commit to the Noles after tight end Jerrale Powers popped earlier this summer (Parson previously played at Duncanville). Mike Norvell & Co. are hoping he isn’t the last, though, as offensive lineman Jaylen Early is set to announce his college choice in early August.
