It wasn’t a commitment, but the Florida State Seminoles received more good news Saturday afternoon when Ty Lockwood, a 6’5 225 tight end from Nashville, TN, included Florida State in his top four, along with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions, and South Carolina Gamecocks:
Top 4! Recruitment is still 100% open, but going to focus on these schools the most. Thank you to everybody recruiting me! #Gobucks #spursup #weare #gonoles @ChadSimmons_ @adamgorney @IndyFootball_TN @rledits24 @CoachTBarr @NatlPlaymkrsAca @CSmithScout pic.twitter.com/5SDsTLgjDb

The Class of 2023 prospect attends Independence High School, where he sports a 4.3 GPA and has a 96 rating (4-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 98th best player in America (5th best TE and 3rd best player in Tennessee).
The Seminoles offered Lockwood in early February:

Other notable schools that have offered but didn’t make the cut include the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
Lockwood recently visited Tallahassee with his high school quarterback and obviously came away impressed:

As of now, I’d consider Ohio State the leader, but it’s always nice to be in the mix.
