On Friday, the Florida State Seminoles men’s basketball team had their upcoming game against the Duke Blue Devils postponed due to COVID positive results within the program. Today, the women’s basketball team’s upcoming game against Wake Forest was also postponed for COVID positive results. The announcement came via Seminoles.com:
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that the Florida State at Wake Forest women’s basketball game has been postponed. The game was scheduled to be played on Sunday, Jan. 3.
The postponement follows positive tests, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Florida State women’s basketball program. The program is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com.
The Seminoles are currently 3-1 in conference and 4-1 overall following a 73-63 win over Virginia Tech earlier in the week.
Tomahawk Nation will continue to provide updates on both the men’s and women’s programs and potential postponements as the news breaks.
