Mike Norvell’s Florida State Seminoles football program added another piece to its 2022 recruiting class when Travis Hunter, out of Suwanee, Georgia, announced his commitment:

Hunter visited Florida State’s campus on Monday and met with the staff. When Hunter first received an offer from FSU in November of 2019, he referred to Florida State as his “dream school”:

Hunter is listed at 6’0, 155 pounds and is currently ranked as an athlete, although he projects to play cornerback and wide receiver at the college level. Hunter is currently unranked, but that is bound to change, as he has amazing potential. He also has offers from the Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, Michigan Wolverines, and North Carolina Tar Heels.

Defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson deserves credit for leading Hunter’s recruitment and ultimately landing the talented athlete.

Hunter joins quarterback Chad Mascoe to make up FSU’s current 2022 class after Melvin Jordan de-committed Monday night.

Very nice pickup, and agree with the projection at CB. Still a long way to go but the Dream School quote is always great to hear!

Excited to see how he develops.

This kid

Is a very nice player. Projects as a CB at FSU. Long kid who moves real well.

Likely he is an inch or two taller

By the time he is at FSU, if not more. Needs to put some lbs on for sure. What does his film look like? I like tall cbs but only if they can drop and turn their hips so they don’t get blown by. What they might not have in quicknesss they can make up for in length and good technique. The stem of the route is where those long guys often get beat. Getting out of phase early on a 9 route is a simple adjustment for the qb. Just connect at 17-19 yds and they have a big play. Much easier pass to complete as well. Anyway, I digress. With that offer list I presume he will be at least a high 3 star for those that are concerned about him not being ranked.

"Needs to put some lbs on for sure."

I have a few I can loan him. What the heck…he can HAVE them

Get in line

Need the Officially Back analysis!

The highlight I just saw of him as a WR reminded me of Peter Warrick only faster, juked half the defense.

And Gwinnett County is quickly becoming the center of FSU recruiting

Might be more Gwinnett boys than Dade County boys.

Lots of talent in GC (and all over GA)---FSU can be relevant again by living there (but good luck against a UGA team that's breaking all the rules egregiously).

If you'd rather be a Dawg than a Nole,

good luck to ya and nope you never prick yourself as you are putting your name tag on daily. Our recruits are a couple of levels above UGA recruits. Hope we aren’t fishing in the same pond.

Wut>?

Yeah, you kinda did overreact there a tad, badknees. Don't worry, we got your back.
