Cornerback Hunter Washington, out of Katy High in Texas, announced his pledge to head to Tallahassee on Twitter today, making things official after being rumored to be leaning toward the ’Noles:
Washington is 5’11 178 pounds and ranked as a composite top-250 player with a 91 rating (4-star). He’s listed as the 16th best cornerback nationally, according to 247Sports.
The cornerback chose FSU over offers from powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC.
Washington is the sixth commit for the Florida State 2021 class. He joins defensive end Joshua Farmer and linebackers Branden Jennings and Dequaveon Fuller on the defensive side of the ball. Washington received an offer from Florida State in January of this year, but has yet to visit campus:
His previous relationship with defensive back coach Marcus Woodson helped the Seminoles win this battle.
