In early May, Florida State offered:
Warren said he was surprised by the offer, as he was waiting a long time to hear back from Florida State.
He got the offer after a discussion with Coach Woodson, during which the latter told Warren he loved his passion for the game.
Before we got too far into the interview we had to know about the nickname Nugget: “when I was a freshman, I was small—I had a small head with a blonde patch in the front, and my JV coach (Coach Stroy) gave me the nickname because my head looked like a chicken nugget.”
We asked him the significance of his Florida State offer tweet (pictures of Deion Sanders and Jalen Ramsey), and he said “FSU has produced some of the best defensive backs in the game.”
When we asked about his style, Warren quickly mentioned his physicality and said he models his game after Ramsey, Jaire Alexander, and Nick Nelson, as they’re smaller cornerbacks who aren’t scared to mix it up:
The biggest things Warren’s looking for in a school are good coaching, and an education to fall back on once football is finished. He added that he plans to take all his visits before making a final decision.
