Jackson West commits to Florida State

The Florida State Seminoles stayed hot on the recruiting trail with their third high school commit in four days. Friday, it was wide receiver Joshua Burrell. Saturday it was linebacker Jordan Eubanks. Monday, the newest member of #Tribe21 is tight end Jackson West:

West is 6’4, 230 pounds and attends Huntsville High School (Huntsville, AL). He’s currently unranked by most outlets, although 247 Sports recently listed him as a 3-star. West hauled in over 400 yards his junior year, while adding 2 touchdowns.

The tight end spot is vital in Mike Norvell’s offense. Florida State added graduate transfer Jordan Wilson at tight end for the upcoming season, but had yet to lock up any tight ends for the 2021 class until West’s commitment.

The Seminoles will look to bring in at least two tight ends from the high school ranks for #Tribe21. FSU is having to rebuild depth at the position due to transfers and misses in previous classes.
