Cedric Baxter Jr. is a 6’0 195 pound running back from Orlando, FL.

The Class of 2023 prospect attends Edgewater High School and recently committed to Florida State.

Late Wednesday morning, 247 Sports came out with its initial Top 100 ranking for the Class of 2023, and the FSU commit debuted at 36th overall (3rd best RB and 9th best player in Florida).

Tomahawk Nation caught up with the talented recruit short after the release, and he said you can trust that everyone’s going to feel him this season, as he shows out.

The Seminoles offered Baxter in late April:

He called Florida State his “dream school,” and TN gathered more in its in-depth interview with the blue-chip:

What’d the Florida State offer mean to you?

“It meant a lot because growing up, all I knew was FSU, and when I got the offer, I was extremely grateful because that’s my dream school.”

With whom did you speak?

“Coach Marve [and] Coach YAC (David Johnson).”

What was the conversation like?

“Coach Marve said ‘this [is] the offer you wanted, and you got it.’

Coach YAC told me to ‘keep grinding and keep working because I have the ability to be one of the best backs.’”
